A short line about the thread running through your work.
Two or three sentences on your background — your doctorate, where you trained, and what connects the projects you have worked on.
A second paragraph if you need it: what you are working towards now, or the kind of collaboration you are open to. Then stop. Almost nobody reads a third, and the sections below carry the detail.

Three or four is plenty. Past six, none of them register with a reader.
